Inside the Mustache Box

January 10, 2014

We got a lot of really nice gifts this year, but I think Sweetie’s were the most fun. Take this mustache box, a gift from my parents, for example:
UntitledAmazing, right? Something so manly and dapper has to contain manly, dapper items, don’t you think?
UntitledAnd it does! He’s using it to hold his rapidly growing collection of bow ties. I made all of these at the end of the year, and there are a few more in the works. I think there always will be…
UntitledThese are the newest ones, all out of quilting cotton. I’m not quite sure what he was thinking when he picked out that weirdly bright plaid on top, but I love the classic black and white check, and the Wild Things print is sweet.

Lately, I’ve been blogging a lot about things I’ve made for my Sweetie, and since the Albion sewalong is coming up and that will also be for him, I’m going to take the next little bit to make and talk about some non-Sweetie projects. Much as he might disagree, not everything can be for him.

I love the prints on those bow ties, particularly the plaid one (obviously) and the Wild Things one.
