I have a few finished and in progress projects that I absolutely adore, but since I seem to be bad at keeping up with this blog and I really (really!) am trying to change that I’ll just take them a little at a time.

My most-likely-to-be-completed-first project is the Aran Pullover from Knitting for Baby by Melanie Falick and Kristin Nicholas. First of all, the little guy that’s modeling the sweater is too cute!

Second, the cables are so beautiful. I absolutely love how they weave around with each other and I’m pretty happy with the stitch definition of the Wool-Ease that I’m using. It’s not as sharp as it could be but I think the soft halo will be nice for a baby.

This sweater will be a very special gift. I recently found out that my best friend from junior high and high school got married and they are expecting a new little addition to their family. This is the first of my friends to have a baby and a friend that was a big part of growing up for me. I want to make something special for a little one that will be so special to her and her new husband. I think that this sweater is just the right thing and I am trying my best to knit love and hope for the future into every stitch.
