Things are going to turn out okay
Suffice it to say that I am feeling good about the future.
The line wasn’t too terribly long at my polling place, so I didn’t get more than a few rows in on my new sock. Of course, the whole process took us a while because we didn’t think to pre-register until it was too late-whoops! I only had time to vote over my lunch break, so DH picked me up from class and we scooted over to a nearby church. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite able to make it to my afternoon class. That professor has been really encouraging as far as awareness of current events is concerned, so I think he’ll understand my absence!
Speaking of absence, I’ve had some pretty good excuses for not posting lately. It’s midterm season at my university, so there have been plenty of papers and exams to occupy my time on top of working full time, going to classes, knitting club, and social dancing. They’ve all been returned and I’ve earned A’s across the board! That was certainly worth the many late nights and early mornings that I spent working so hard. Now I’m just trying to keep on top of things so that finals go just as well.
The sock you see at the top of this post is on its third time around. I tried doing a toe-up sock design last winter that didn’t look so great. I decided to revisit this yarn when I finished up some other socks (more on that later). My first attempt with my standard sixty stitches ended up huge, so I ripped and re-started with fifty-two stitches. Ahh…much better.
