Finished Lucy Bag

January 23, 2009

Since I’ve been kind of bad at blogging as well as photographing the past few months, I’m going to fill you in on my FOs as I take pictures of them.
I have to admit that this was a bit of a “bandwagon” project. A lot of people have made Two Old Bags felted bags, particularly the Lucy design. I decided to make one up for myself as yet another knitting bag. Part of the reason you didn’t see the finished product for a while is circumstantial, as I had to give the bag to a coworker to felt (thanks, Sandy!)

Pattern: Lucy Bag by Two Old Bags
Yarn: 2 skeins Malabrigo Worsted in Velvet Grapes
Needles:US 10.5
Timeline: Started 27 April 2008, not sure when I actually finished…
Worst Part: Casting on at the bottom of the bag
Best Part: The great suede texture that Malabrigo gets when felted.

Hello, could you tell me how you started the bottom? I tried with the dpn’s. Got so frustrated and I was dissapointed, wanted to do this so much. I googled a crocheted version, almost done, but really want to do the knitted version. Thanks Suzanne
