A Wee Bit Behind
Happy Earth Day!
We had a photo shoot yesterday on the Duluth Lakewalk for a newsletter project I’m working on. You can see our famous aerial lift bridge in the background.
Kristi is running a little bit behind schedule. She’s farther than in the photo above, but she should have been done a while ago…so definitely behind.
All those traveling stitches take longer than the average sock! I think the end result is well worth the time spent and this pattern looks to be one of the most difficult in the book, so some of the less complicated patterns should make up the time I’m spending on these.
While covering a shift at the shop today, I realized that I needed a semi-portable project that wasn’t socks so that I don’t get completely burned out on the Sock Innovation challenge.
This is Bristol Yarn Gallery Buckingham color 1850, a baby alpaca/silk blend. It will become the Lily of the Valley Scarf from Knitted Lace of Estonia for an unrevealed, but very deserving, recipient. I may just cast on tonight!
