Covet Wednesdays: Knitty Deep Fall 2010

September 29, 2010

The new issue of Knitty is here, and it included some great projects for fall! Clockwise from top left:

Beatnik by Norah Gaughan has a great mix of comfort and elegance that I love in my “student clothes,” the outfits that I put together on the days that I don’t teach.

I think that the Riff socks by Lise Brackbill could be the perfect use for my green Dream in Color Smooshy.

The Eleanor cowl by Audrey Knight is one of those projects to have in your back pocket for a quick(ish) gift or a little luxury for yourself.

The holidays are in sight, and I’m making a lot of hats. The Brambles Beret by Amanda Muscha may be one of them.

I also have a few shawls planned for gifts and Pretty Maids by Joyce Fassbender might be the final pattern that I’ve been looking for.

There were plenty more patterns in this issue that were cute, but not quite my style. If you haven’t already, be sure to check it out!

You may be wondering why you haven’t heard from me in the past month. I’ve got a couple of excuses. Of course, there’s the craziness that beginning any semester brings, and that threw me off of my routines for a bit. However, the big roadblock to blogging has been my lack of a computer for two weeks. Thanks to my amazing dad who seems to be able to fix even the most hopeless of causes, I’m back in business with my laptop. It feels like the semester has finally begun, and I can really get to work. I have, of course, been knitting all this time, and I’ll be sure to give you an update here.
