Minimalist Cardi

February 6, 2011

Minimalist 1
I finished seaming up my Minimalist Cardi last night, and I don’t intend to take it off any time soon. I knew as soon as I started knitting this sweater that it could easily become my go-to, toss over anything cardigan. Add the soft and cozy Plymouth Earth Hillside Linen (80% linen, 20% alpaca) on top of that, and you’ve got the perfect cardigan for the long reading and writing sessions that comprise this English graduate student’s life.

I have my dear friend Molly to thank for this one. She mentioned wanting to knit it last time she visited, and I quickly became obsessed. We decided to work on it in a loose knitalong, and I can’t wait to see how hers turns out!

Pattern: Ruthie Nussbaum’s Minimalist Cardigan from the Fall 2007 Interweave Knits
Yarn: less than 4 skeins Plymouth Earth Hillside Linen #58
Needles: I don’t know and I don’t have them with me. Something bamboo though.
Made for: Me
Timeline: September 14, 2010-February 5, 2011
Modifications: None
Worst Part: Not finishing and wearing it sooner
Best Part: The yarn’s cozy factor
