UFO Mondays: Reaching for the Sky
I plugged along on my Duluth Skyline hat this weekend while watching too much TV with Sweetie, and I’m now 2/3 of the way through the chart and just about ready to begin the crown decreases. It’s pretty satisfying to have finished the aerial lift bridge and cityscape and only have some clouds, stars, and a moon to go.
I have to say, though, double knitting that is not the same on each side has got to be some of the slowest knitting there is. Not only are you essentially knitting two hats at once in order to make it reversible, it also requires more attention than your average colorwork project. Add in some tiny needles, and you can bet I’ll be happy to see the finish line of this project.
