Quick Fabric Shopping Tip

May 21, 2014

Today I’m here with a quick tip about fabric shopping that may be totally obvious, but I find it helpful and thought I’d share.
Care and ContentI’m pretty much glued to my smartphone, so whenever I buy fabric, I snap a picture of the fiber content and care information. I always make sure the fabric itself is visible in the photo so I don’t have to worry about giving the images any sort of title. This way, even if I don’t cut into the fabric for quite a while after purchasing it, I know exactly what’s in it (or at least what the label said was in it) and can wash accordingly. Although, let’s face it, most of what I buy will end up in the washing machine if it seems like it can tolerate it regardless of the label.

PS: take a look at the label in the bottom left corner for the most ridiculous care instructions I’ve ever seen.

    2) thank you for your lovely compliments on my lady skater. you should definitely make some! they are SO QUICK and they wouldn’t divert you from your other sewing for very long at all.
